## Put to death, therefore, your sinful desires ##
This is a metaphor showing that sinful desires should be completely and finally dealt with just as an evil person is put to death. (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor]])

"strong lustful desire"
## and greed, which is idolatry ##
