# with his idols, therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says this: Look
Possible meanings are 1) Yahweh is speaking about himself in the third person. This can be stated in first person. AT: "with his idols, therefore I, Yahweh, the God of Israel, say this: Look" or 2) the prophet is introducing what Yahweh says. AT: "with his idols.' Therefore, this is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says: 'Look" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-123person]])
# whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle
The physical feeling is a metonym for the emotional feeling that causes it. AT: "those who hear what Yahweh does, will be shocked" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy]])
