in the certain hope that the creation itself will be delivered

from slavery to decay

Paul speaks of the uselessness of all things affected by sin as if they were a dead body rotting away. He then speaks about all things experiencing this as if they were slaves to a master. AT: "from rotting and dying" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor)

into the freedom of the glory of the children of God

"and he will free them when he gives honor to his children"

For we know that the whole creation groans and labors in pain together even now
