General Information:
This is information that gives an update on the spread of the word of God and on what Barnabas and Saul were doing. (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/writing-endofstory)
the word of God increased and multiplied
The word of God is spoken of as if it was a living plant that was able to grow and reproduce. AT: "the message of God spread to more places and more people believed in him" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor)
the word of God
More people heard about the word of God. This refers to the message of God about salvation through Jesus. AT: "the message of God about Jesus" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy)
completed their mission
This refers back to when they brought money from the believers at Antioch in Acts 11:29-30. AT: "delivered the money to the church leaders in Jerusalem" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-explicit)
they returned from Jerusalem
They went back to Antioch from Jerusalem. AT: "Barnabas and Saul returned to Antioch" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-explicit)
