See, he is attacking like clouds, and his chariots are like a storm

These two sentences have similar meanings. The second one strengthens the thought in the first. (See” Parallelism) AT: "The enemy army is destructive like a strong wind storm" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-simile)

Woe to us, for we will be devastated

The people say this when they see the enemy army approaching. AT: The people say. 'We will certainly be destroyed.' "

cleanse your heart from wickedness, Jerusalem

God warns the people living in Jerusalem to repent. AT: "Yahweh says to the people living in Jerusalem, 'You better change how you act."

a voice is bringing

"messengers are proclaiming" (UDB) (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-personification)

the coming disaster is heard

"people heard the coming disaster" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-activepassive)

from Dan... mountains of Ephraim

The people would recognize that those places show this warning was getting closer to them.
