Paul continues to speak to the people.

## educated in this city at the feet of Gamaliel ##

## I was instructed according to the strict ways of the law of our forefathers ##

## I am zealous for God ##

"I have strong feelings and acts to do what I believe is God's will" or "I am passionate about my service to God"

## this Way ##

"The Way" was the name given to the local body of believers in Jerusalem following penticoste. (See Acts verse [Acts 9:1](../09/01.md))

## to the death ##

Paul was willing to kill people who followed the Way.

## bear witness ##

"give a witness" or "testify"

## I received letters from them ##

## I was to bring back in bonds ##
