they were afraid

they entered into the cloud
This can be expressed in terms of what the cloud did. AT: "the cloud surrounded them"
A voice came out of the cloud

Son

the one who is chosen

They kept silent ... what they had seen

The first phrase refers to their immediate response, and the second refers to what they did in the following days.
