Possible meanings are 1) the author speaks of God humiliating him as if God had forced him to chew gravel. Possible meanings are 1) the author's experiences are not peaceful. AT: "I have no peace in my life" or 2) the author does not feel peace. AT: "I feel no peace in my soul"
My endurance has perished and so has my hope in Yahweh
