# If my land ever cries out against me, and its furrows weep together
Job speaks of being guilty as if his land were a person who cries out against Job because of the wrong Job has done to the land. AT: "If I have done wrong concerning my land" or "If I have stolen my land from someone" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-personification]])
# to lose their lives
