Paul speaks of thoughts as if they were animals that people could lead along the wrong path. AT: "someone might cause you to believe lies" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metaphor)
For suppose that someone comes and

a different spirit than what you received. Or suppose that you receive a different gospel than the one you received
"a different spirit than the Holy Spirit, or a different gospel than you received from us"
put up with these things
