The phrase "first and last" represents the whole time of Solomon's reign. AT: "from the beginning to the end of his reign" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-merism)

These are the names of some writings that existed when 2 Chronicles was written, but they do not exist now.

Ahijah the Shilonite

This is a prophet from Shiloh who predicted that the nation of Israel would be divided into two kingdoms.

Shilonite

He slept with his ancestors

This was a polite way to tell about him dying. AT: "He died" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-euphemism)
