## Slaves, be obedient to ##

"You slaves should obey"
|

|

## and trembling, in the honesty of your heart, as to Christ ##
|
|
|
|
"and humble fear, just as you obey Christ"
|
|
|
|
## with deep respect and trembling ##
|
|
|

## not only to please them when they are watching you ##
|
|
|
|
"Always work as if you were working for Christ himself, even when your masters are not watching you"
|

## as slaves of Christ himself ##
|
|

Serve your earthly master as if your earthly master was Christ himself.
|
|
|
|
## serving cheerfully as for the Lord and not just for people ##
|
|
|
|
"Work joyfully since you are working for the Lord and not just for people"
|
|
|
|
## remembering that whatever good deed each person does, he will receive a reward from the Lord ##
|
|
|
|
"Remember that every good deed a person does will be rewarded by the Lord" |
