General Information

Jesus continues the story.

said, Father, I have sinned against God and against you. I am not worthy to be your son.

This is a quotation within a quotation. The entire quotation can be restated so that this portion is an indirect quotation: "told his father that he had sinned against God and against his father, and was not worthy to be his son." (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-quotesinquotes)

sinned against God and against you

This could be translated as, “sinned against God, and I have also sinned against you.”

I am not worthy

It is also possible to say, “So I am not worthy” or, “As a result, I am not worthy.”
