# Abram and Sarai still did not have a son

Abram needed to have a son because God had promised to make him a great nation (See: [04:04](04/04)). God also said he would give the land of Canaan to Abram’s descendants (See: [04:06](04/06)).

# Sarai

||
God would later change Sarai’s name to Sarah.
|
||
|
||
# God declared that Abram was righteous
|
||
|
||
Because Abram believed God, God decided to treat Abram as if he had fully obeyed God in everything he had done.
