# sacrificed some of each kind of animal

People offered animals as special gifts to God as a way of worshiping him. They normally killed the animals and then burned them in a fire on an altar.

These were seven males and females of these animals in the boat (See: [03:06](03/06)). After Noah sacrificed some of them, there were still enough left to fill the earth again.
