اريحا كانت مدينة قوية في أرض كنعان. كانت تقع غرب نهرالأردن وشمال من بحرالملح .

زي ما عمل كل الكنعانيين، شعب أريحا عبدو الآلهة الكاذبة .
أريحا كانت أول مدينة في أرض كنعان الله كلم الإسرائيليين عشان يحتلوها.
لمن قاد يشوع الإسرائيليين ضد أريحا، عمل الله معجزة عظيمة عشان يساعدهم ليهزموا المدينة.
