General Information:

Yahweh continues speaking to the people of Israel.

Abraham, your father

God speaks of their ancestor as if he were their father. AT: “Abraham, your forefather” or “Abraham, your ancestor” (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy)

Sarah, who bore you

God speaks of Abraham’s wife as if she were their mother and had given birth to them. AT: “Abraham’s wife, Sarah, of whom you are all descendants” (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy)

when he was a lone individual
